                          "Crowdfunding"

              for Small Businesses

The seminar is designed to give business owners (or potential owners) an understanding of crowdfunding, the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their money, usually via the Internet, to support businesses initiated by other people.

Crowdfunding your idea, product, or start up is becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Sites that offer rewards in exchange for financial backing, such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo are becoming the preferred route for entrepreneurs. In just a few months, offering equity or a percentage in your company in exchange for a backer's financial investment via crowdfunding will be legal in the United States.

In this session we will review:

  • the crowdfunding craze and why it has happened
  • legal challenges and requirements
  • examples of crowdfunding
  • where/how to get started

At the conclusion of this session you will have the knowledge needed to determine if crowdfunding is not only the right path for you, but how to navigate through it.

Seminar will be led by David D. Postolski, Attorney at Law

Fee: $35
