Roundtable Discussion on Minimum Wage and the Impact to Sacramento Small Business

Join California Capital Women's Business Center and Small Business Majority and for an open conversation and workshop about minimum wage and the impact to small businesses.

Small business owners spend their days concentrating on their particular specialty, but there’s one thing they have in common: they all have to contend with a host of workforce issues. One of these issues making the news lately is raising the minimum wage, particularly in California. With this roundtable, we want to hear your thoughts and concerns on raising the minimum wage as small employers. We will also provide education about how to get ready for the new wage increases.

Specific topics include:

  • The minimum wage increase to $12.50 by 2020 passed by Sacramento City Council in 2015 and its impact to small business.
  • The impact of a minimum wage increase to $15 in California on small businesses
  • A minimum wage increase’s effect on local economies and small businesses
  • Information and resources to get ready for the new state and local wage increases

For questions, contact Rhea Aguinaldo at raguinaldo@smallbusinessmajority.org or call (415) 654-4846.

Light breakfast will be served.
