2014 Aroostook County Meeting

FIX IT NOW!
A panel discussion about what it will take to fix Aroostook County’s transportation network

The MBTA and the Northern Maine Development Commission will co-host two sessions on August 6 to highlight Aroostook County highway, bridge and other transportation needs.

At the afternoon session, Eaton Peabody Consulting Group Senior Consultant John Melrose will provide an introduction to Fix It Now! and discuss his research for the statewide public awareness campaign.

The evening panel discussion will feature a discussion about the state of Aroostook County’s transportation infrastructure.

Panel participants will include: MaineDOT Rail Direcctor Nate Moulton will talk about rail capital investment
needs; Northern Maine Regional Airport Director Scott Wardwell will speak about aviation infrastructure needs; and Northern Maine Development Commission Senior Planner Jay Kamm will talk about the economic importance of The County’s transportation infrastructure and offer a wish list for the future.

for upgrades to the line to improve safety and reliability of the service.
