Maker's Mark Private Select Release-
Win a Trip to Kentucky!


Maker_s Mark Event Although we received our Private Select barrels a few weeks ago, we wanted to make the kickoff event something special.  Victoria MacRae-Samuels, Maker's Mark's Vice President of Operations, will be on hand to talk all about her family's little whisky brand and taste through every expression Maker's Mark has to offer!

We're really excited about our Maker's Mark event tomorrow, but I wanted to let you know I just got word that Victoria MacRae-Samuels had an unexpected family emergency that prevents her from coming.  Fortunately, the folks at Maker's Mark did us a solid and they are flying up Jane Bowie in her stead.  Jane runs the Private Selection program and will be bringing with her samples of the single stave whiskeys and will be much better at speaking to the process.  I think it will actually make for a BETTER class.

Nonetheless, if you just had your heart set on meeting Victoria, we'd be happy to offer you a refund.  Just respond to this email before the event and let me know.  I'm sorry for the switcharoo, but these were circumstances out of our control.

As Ron Popeil would say, but wait, there's more!  We're giving away a trip to Kentucky to one class attendee (and a guest of their choosing) for our June 30th selection of a Maker's Private Select barrel!  We will fly you out June 29th and spend the evening in Louisville eating and perhaps drinking (if we can find any bourbon down there).  On Saturday, you will join us as we formulate the next Maker's 46 Private Select for Ace Spirits!!!!  It's a really cool process (read more here) that I wish everyone could join for, but alas, there can be only one!!!  Well, two... but you get the point.

YOU MUST ATTEND THE EVENT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE DRAWING.  NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY AND A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

There is a $30 event fee which includes light snacks, an educational seminar, and a 15ml pour of each spirit.  All paid attendees will receive a $5 store credit good for the day of the event. 

Disclaimers and Notices:  Tickets to Ace Spirits events are non-refundable, but transferrable.  All sample pours are mandated by the state to be 15ml or less- this is roughly half an ounce.  To the right is what a 15ml pour looks like is a Glencairn glass (the only glass we use)  All attendees must be 21 or over (duh) and present ID upon check in.  You do not need to print or present a ticket- we maintain the guest list.  Events start promptly at their scheduled time, so please be on time.
