Maine ASCD Pathways to Proficiency      November 6, 2015 ~ Portland, ME

Our Pathways to Proficiency series continues this year, as we stay dedicated to our organization's mission of providing leadership in shaping, energizing and customizing learning for Maine educators.

Please join us on November 6, 2015 as we lead a collaborative learning experience to support educators in growing a student-centered proficiency-based learning model.

Attendees can expect to:

• Explore the DOE's K-12 progressions of Maine's Guiding Principles. Diana Doiron, Maine Department of Education's Standards-Based Education Specialist will facilitate a process for participants to work through the new framework.

• Explore ASCD's Whole Child framework and learn about resources to help support student-centered proficiency-based learning. Walter McKenzie, Senior Director for Constituent Programs at ASCD will work with attendees around this topic.
  

• Learn with colleagues who will share school and classroom examples of  implementation and instruction around the Guiding Principles or one of the tenets included in the Whole Child framework.
