The Nuts and Bolts of the New Tax Reform Act of 2018
The Tax Cuts and Job Act became law on December 22, 2017. It’s considered the biggest tax overhaul since the 1986 Tax Reform Act. The impact of its tax changes will affect business owners and other individual taxpayers. Some will pay more, others less and a few may see no changes. Presenter: Mr.Pete Lewis has more than 30 years of tax and accounting experience and operates Lewis & Associates Tax Planning, Inc., (LATP) in St. Charles, Illinois. LATP provides tax planning, compliance, IRS debt resolution and audit representation for federal and state tax authorities. Mr. Lewis has held management positions with public accounting firms, law firms and publicly held corporations. He holds an MBA in finance from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and Enrolled Agent Admitted to Practice before the IRS.
