Measurements for Running a Small Business Successfully

This workshop is meant for business owners only. You will learn how to define and monitor the measurements known as "Key Performance Indicators" (KPIs) that are necessary to successfully run your business.
Just like a doctor uses data to assess your health, as a business owner you need data to assess and guide your enterprise. 

In this workshop, you will learn about, why small businesses fail, stages of business cycle, strategic thinking and market forces, as a prelude to mastering how to establish, internal measurements (KPIs), for your business.,

Assessments related to hiring & developing the right people, in the right organization structure, and mapping all of your business processes will be discussed. There will be discussion on, how to interpret numbers from P&Ls, and Balance Sheet.   Measuring payables and receivables within the contractual framework with your customers and suppliers will be explained, to emphasize importance of working capital, either to pay off business debt or to grow your business. Additionally, discussion on production/service demand planning and production/service capacity, for delivering the best customer service.

 Presenter: Masoom Ahmed has Engineering &   Business degrees from Illinois Institute of  Technology,   Chicago and The University of Chicago, respectively.   Following a career with Abbott  Laboratories, a fortune 100 Chicago based company. Masoom is now Principal at the MAC Group LLC, which provides consulting services to small businesses.
