From April through July 2020, I AM ABEL FOUNDATION has partnered with Priscilla's Ultimate Soulfood Cafeteria to deliver a delicious soulfood meal to Chicago area hospitals weekly. Most meals will be Thursdays through Saturdays. Our goal is to continue delivering meals through July!

Usually this time of year our amazing mentees would be headlong in pre-clinical and academic studies to prepare them to become physicians like the Heroes that we are currently witnessing. COVID-19 has slowed our progress but in time, we will be back on course.
In the meantime our mentees are creating DIY Face Shields and working every day to show gratitude for their physician mentors out there in the trenches fighting COVID-19. If you know a high school, college or post-bacc student that wants to become a physician, applications will open for this amazing program in November. Our Nation's Healthcare workers are literally walking into the line of fire every day while caring for countless patients suffering and sadly dying from COVID-19. The day is long, grueling and often depressing on those hospital units. So we have partnered with Priscilla's Ultimate Soul Food Cafeteria to bring a bit of mid day joy to our heroes.
Priscilla's is arguably the best Soul Food in the city of Chicago bar none. You have to fight me on that one! They have 3 locations to serve you! Hillside, Country Club Hills and Hanover Park and all are delicious.
