Rhyme & Dine at Bedern Hall 

For York Food and Drink Festival internationally acclaimed York poet and performer Anneliese Emmans Dean has joined up with Bedern Hall for an evening of sizzling poetry interspersed between the courses of a sumptuous 3-course meal. 

Our ‘Rhyme and Dine’ menu has been created to showcase the best of local, seasonal produce, much of it from our own gardens and Anneliese has written humorous poems to complement each dish. Her Rhyme and Dine evenings have been described as ‘sublime’ and ‘fabulous’: ‘Her words were as luscious as the food’.

Tickets are only £25  each which includes:

• Welcome drink
• 3 course local food menu plus coffee
• Entertainment throughout the evening

The menu:

Butternut squash soup with lemon

Navarin of Lamb with rataouille & pommes dauphinoise

Spinach & fettle pancakes as vegetarian option

Apple crumble or cheeseboard

Coffee & chocolates

Wines & beers for sale during the evening
