Images of a disappeared York
This Lecture is a repeat of the lecture being held of the 10th March.
We are delighted to welcome local Historian Peter Stanhope to help answer these questions with one of his popular lectures on our City's history. Peter is no stranger to Bedern Hall, having been involved with Guild life here as a Freeman and a Past Master of The Company of Cordwainers.
This illustrated talk will provide an insight into what York has lost over the centuries as Peter leads us through the ancient streets of our City.

What is the Bedern Hall Foundation?
Thirty one years ago Sir Peter Shepherd on behalf of the Bedern Hall Guilds of York laid the new foundation stone to restore and preserve this important building for the City. In the intervening years the Hall has provided a hall for hire and social occasions venue for the benefit of the people of York and for visitors attending events from around the world.
The Bedern Hall Foundation was launched on the anniversary of that event to secure Bedern Hall’s next thirty years and beyond with a new vision for the Hall that encompasses; education; preservation and accessibility.
