Have you ever heard the phrase "priesthood of all believers" or seen the phrase "Ministers: All members of the congregation" in a bulletin and wondered what it meant? We will spend three sessions unpacking the theological, historical, and practical implications of the priesthood of all believers and discuss its relevance for participants' current ministry settings.

All sessions occur virtually on Zoom from 7 PM - 8:30 PM.  Register for one, two, or all three sessions by clicking on the "Register Now" button below.

Session I: Monday, September 11, 2023 (Theology)
We will consider the biblical sources for the idea of the priesthood of all believers and discuss the theological roots of the idea in both Anabaptism and Pietism. We will also discuss what "priesthood" means in the Brethren context.

Session II: Monday, September 18, 2023 (History)
We will discuss how the idea of the priesthood of all believers has been lived out among Brethren across the last three centuries. We will look at ways that congregations and the larger denomination drew on this idea for ministry.

Session III: Monday, September 25, 2023 (Practical Implications)
We will discuss how the idea of the priesthood of all believers has been lived out among Brethren across the last three centuries. We will look at ways that congregations and the larger denomination drew on this idea for ministry.

Registration is required, but free. Donations are welcome. CEUs (.15) are available for $10.00 per session. During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to pay for CEUs either by check or credit card. (Credit card processing fees are paid by the registrant).
