Lisa Fanucci-Dario is hosting A Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in downtown Fredericksburg on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1pm. 

The walk is to bring awareness to the seriousness of domestic violence and raise money for Empowerhouse. Walkers and spectators will meet at the commuter lot in downtown Fredericksburg for an opening ceremony. 

Immediately following the opening ceremony, walkers will Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, literally! Men will slip into a pair of red high heels to show their support for the cause!

Walkers and spectators will walk to the Inn at the Olde Silk Mill where there will be a silent auction, food & beverages, and a closing ceremony.

Walkers can register to walk as an individual, family, or team. This will also give walkers someone to lean on during the walk (balancing in heels can be tricky!).

Team ideas: college, high school, and league sports teams, fraternities, restaurants, businesses, teachers, stylists, car dealerships, friends, families, real estate offices, lenders....(you get the idea!).

Don't let the high heels stop you from being part of this wonderful event! If the shoes will stop you from walking -- wear your sneakers (hopefully they are red!).
