Captain Christopher P. Nee and the Temple Station personal invite you to join them for their Annual Temple Station Golf Tournament.
On May 21, 2012, Cops 4 Causes in association with TEMPLE STATION will host a golf tournament at the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Tournament check-in/registration will begin at 10:30 A.M. and is scheduled for a 12:00 P.M. “Shotgun start." Please join us and support our Temple Station brothers and sisters.
Proceeds: Proceeds from this golf tournament will benefit Special Olympics Southern California and the Temple Station Unit Fund.
In 1926, Temple Station was established as Station Number 5.
It has had at least 4 different locations over the years, but it has been at its current site since 1957.
To date, Temple Station has lost two of its Deputies:
The first to give his life in the service of the Temple Station Community was Deputy Harold S. Blevins, who was killed in 1957. He was responding to a robbery in progress call where he was fatally shot by a career criminal and recent parolee.
The second and hopefully the last was Deputy David W. March in 2002. He too was shot by a career criminal, who fled the country to escape prosecution.
After remaining in hiding in Mexico for several years, he was eventually extradited and subsequently plead guilty, and is now serving his sentence in a California prison.
