GA Child Welfare Legal Academy 

 

With the recent passage of HB 242 (Juvenile Justice Reform Bill), many changes have been made to Georgia’s juvenile code. On May 14, 2013, from 8:00-10:00 a.m., the GA Child Welfare Legal Academy will host Jen Carreras and Ashley Willcott as our Visiting Scholars in Practice. In the first of a series of upcoming programs on HB 242, Ms. Carreras and Ms. Willcott, Child Welfare Law Specialists, will present a general overview of the highlights of the bill. The presentation will be hosted at Emory Law School and streamed live via the Internet to local jurisdictions across the state.

Online registration is strongly encouraged f or those attending the live presentation at Emory Law School.  The nonrefundable registration fee, cash or check payable at the door, for all participants is $10 and includes materials, 3-hour parking in the hospital visitor parking deck, and light refreshments.

2.0 CLE credits for attorneys will be offered.  CLE fees will be accepted at the door for $10 cash or check only payable to "Emory University."
