Gauge and Measurement PM
Course Overview

This course is designed for operators and technicians who use dimensional gauges in their jobs to make measurements. The goal of Gauge and Measurement is "to insure quality in manufacturing designs of products". Students attending this course will receive Hands On Instruction to insure they understand good measurement principles and practices.

Topics

 • Importance of measurement standards and the difference between the precision and accuracy, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

 •  Taking the measurements with calipers, micrometers, height and depth gauges, fixed gauges, and gauge blocks and understanding the best way to measure various types of dimensions
