After much consideration, the Western States Committee has postponed the Western States Meeting until September 7-10, 2022. The surge of the Omicron variant and the recent difficulties with airline travel were major factors in the decision, plus California has imposed an indoor mask mandate until February 15. We would like you to come back in September and enjoy the beautiful weather in San Diego and hear our speakers. You registration fees will be refunded. Stay tuned for more information about the conference. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Put the date on  your calendars now – hope to see you in September.

Speakers:

Dr. Gerald Harmon, President American Medical Association

Dr. Harmon is a family medicine specialist and the 176th president of the American Medical Association.  Dr. Harmon has held several leadership positions in the South Carolina Medical Association.  Dr. Harmon serves as a clinical professor at two of South Carolina’s medical schools and is a member of the clinical faculty for the Tidelands Health Family Medicine residency program.  

Before his retirement from the military as a major general, Dr. Harmon served the nation in the Air Force Reserve, on Active Duty, and in the Air National Guard.  

Dr. Harmon's remarks will be virtual.

Aileen is the CEO of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society (SSVMS), which represents over 6,000 physicians in the Sacramento region. Aileen is also the CEO and Executive Director of the Medical Society’s affiliated organizations and community programs.

Dr. Richard Pan,  Senator   California District 6  

Dr. Richard Pan is a pediatrician, former UC Davis educator, and State Senator proudly representing Sacramento, West Sacramento, Elk Grove and unincorporated areas of Sacramento County.  

Dr. Pan chairs the Senate Committee on Health. Among many others, Dr. Pan also serves on the Special Committee on Pandemic Emergency Response.

Dr. Akilah Weber, California Assemblymember District 79


Dr. Weber is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, and she is the founder and past director of the Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Division at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Dr. Weber was elected April 2021 to represent California's 79th Assembly District.

Cancellation and Non-Meeting Room Penalty:  We have worked so hard to secure an outstanding price for your hotel rooms for this conference.  Due to our room block commitment, Meeting Attendees staying at another Property will be assessed a $100 surcharge, which will be added to their conference registration fee.  Thank you for your understanding in helping us provide the best conference experience for all.  Conference Registration will be non-refundable after February 1, 2022.  Any conference registration cancellations prior to that date will be on a pro-rated refund basis.  For further questions, contact the Conference Chair.
