We also welcome Cynthia Druckenbrod, BA, MS as our guest.  Cynthia is a garden management consultant and board member of the American Public Gardens Association and she will speak on:

"Make Your Backyard Burst in Spring"

Cynthia graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a BA in Biology and started her career in horticulture and entomology when she managed the invertebrate collection and the butterfly exhibit at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in the early 1990’s. She then moved to Georgia to oversee the Day Butterfly Center at Callaway Gardens. While there, she finished her Master degree in Entomology at Auburn University. In 2000, the Cleveland Botanical Garden brought her home to be an integral member of the planning team that built the Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse- a unique environment that houses tropical and desert flora and fauna. She managed the Glasshouse plant and animal collections and operations until 2007 when she was promoted to Vice President of Horticulture. In that capacity, she managed a staff of 9 horticulturists and oversaw 10 acres of outdoor gardens and grounds. Since 2017, Cynthia has served as a public garden management consultant and serves on the board of the American Public Gardens Association. She and her husband reside at Lily Creek Gardens in Moreland Hills where they grow far too many daylilies and keep 6 silly chickens and one cat.
