Bob Henderson is Manager, Lighting Education at CREE and the
Lead Instructor at Cree’s Lighting Experience Center in Durham, NC. Having worked in lighting over the last 30 years as a consultant, lighting center principal instructor, lighting sales agent, utility lighting specialist and manager of a lighting experience center, Bob has presented over 30 different lighting seminars on indoor and outdoor lighting during his career. Additionally, he has worked with cities and counties across North and South Carolina to develop over 25 municipal and county outdoor lighting ordinances. Bob has earned three Edwin F. Guth Awards of Merit for interior lighting design and one Waterbury Award for the relighting of the North Carolina State Capitol. He also redesigned the Governor of North Carolina’s press room and the WRAL-TV newsroom. He has served three terms as section president of the East Carolina Section of the IESNA. Bob is past chair of the IESNA Utility Committee and is a member of the IESNA Outdoor Lighting Environmental Committee.
