Coaches

Dee Bartlam, from Duluth, MN, is a PMBI Level 1 Mountain Bike Skills Instructor, Trek Women's Advocate, and COGGS Ride and Enduro Director. She loves biking and sharing her passion with others!  Locally, Dee leads a Tuesday Night Ladies Ride year round, instructs Women’s clinics at Spirit Mountain, CAMBA, SHERides in Tofte, and Copper Harbor Women’s Weekend.  She has also been coaching with Colorado-based Vida Mountain Bike Series.
“There’s nothing better than that sense of empowerment that comes from learning a new skill and conquering fears”.  Dee

Pam Schmitt has been enjoying life in the woods on two wheels since 2010, when she was introduced to the growing sport. Since then, she has continued to be immersed within the COGGS community: teaching and assisting at instructional clinics, leading group rides, and serving four years on the COGGS Board of Directors to help raise funds for building and maintaining the Duluth Traverse Trail. In 2016 she became a certified Level 1 Mountain Bike Instructor with the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (PMBIA) and has been teaching clinics on the Midwest single rack ever since.
