Intentional Peer Support (IPS) is a dynamic and unique way of thinking about life and supportive relationships.

Over nearly 40 years, Beth Quinn has been working and learning in a diverse range of human services. A hands-on, self-directed learner, she developed her knowledge and talents to support families, children and youth in many settings. A small sample of groups benefiting from her commitment include Headstart, Parks and Recreation, Child Care Resources and Referral, School Districts, CASA, Child Day Treatment, Youth Action Councils, and Children’s Museums.  During her work as the Executive Director of the Wasco County Commission on Children and Families, in The Dalles, Oregon, her untiring efforts earned her a Wasco County “Healthy Community Champion” award.

Over the last decade, Beth has focused her energy to support mental health peer-run, organizational and workforce development, contributing to peer support training curriculum writing and analysis for approval in the State of Oregon, and facilitation of Intentional Peer Support curricula. Beth’s formal credentials include Community College credits in an AA transfer block, Intentional Peer Support Facilitator Certification, Licensed Therapeutic Day Care and Foster Care services (Oregon and Washington), and Oregon Mental Health Authority’s Peer Support Specialist (PSS) and Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) vocational designations.
