Thank you for your interest in Family Transition Place's (FTP's) Fall Youth Education in-person Healthy Relationships workshop for youth ages 11-13.

FTP will be offering an in-person workshop this fall at The Centre (in The Lounge) in Orangeville;  four sessions are available. Registrants can sign up for all or just some of the sessions.
SPACE IS LIMITED.

Healthy Relationships:

This group gives youth the skills to explore the qualities that make a relationship healthy or unhealthy. Participants will also learn the skills needed to deal with unhealthy relationships that may be in their lives. Topics will include assertive communication, the safe use of social media and emotional self-regulation.

Session 1: Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships
Session 2: Relationships and Communication Technology
Session 3: Communication
Session 4: Emotional Self-Regulation

This group will give students an opportunity to socialize and participate in a safe group setting and are an alternative to regular extra-curricular activities that aren't currently taking place.

Covid-19 precautions have been considered and Youth Educator, Sabina Iurillo, will ensure the following safety measures are in place:

  • Pre-screening (questions and digital temperature)
  • Hand sanitizer will be required upon arrival and will be available at each workshop session
  • Masks will be worn throughout—required for both participants and educator
  • Physically-distanced seating arrangement
  • Thorough sanitation measures will be taken by FTP staff, before and after each group

NOTE: You are registering yourself as the Parent/Guardian followed by your child. The information that is requested at the beginning of the registration process is yours (Parent/Guardian), followed by your child's information.
