Backstage with Romeo & Juliet

Fri, 10/10, 2 pm

FSU Fallon Theatre, 540 W. Call St.

Cost:  Free; registration required

Deadline: Mon, 10/6

What a wonderful way to introduce us to the FSU School of Theater’s performance of Romeo & Juliet!   During our own private tour we will see the costumes, as well as the stage which has been built to look like the Globe Theatre.  The costuming is so thoroughly studied, “from page to stage,” that each is respected as scholarly research.  We’ll be guided by the faculty members in charge.  This behind the stage experience should make the performance all the more spectacular for us!  (See below for the Sunday, 10/26 matinee.)

Deadline:  Fri, 10/24           Maximum:  20 Members

The 2010 Tony Award nominated musical comedy has us meet the parents, Addams Family style!  Little Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet man from a respectable family.  The Addams host a dinner to meet her “normal” boyfriend and his parents.  It’s a creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky good time.

After the musical, join us in taking the pleasure of a repast at Whole Foods Market. In the Prepared Foods department, grab a container(s) and be creative with selections from the fresh salad and hot prepared foods bar, including ethnic dishes; add a beverage, and greet others on the veranda to discuss the afternoon’s entertainment.
