Terms and Conditions for this St. Patrick's Day Sale 2023:

Note: References to “you”, “you’re”, “your,” & “yourself” refer to you.
References to “I”, “I’m,” "I'd," “me,” & “my” refer to Carly.
References to “we” mean you and Carly.
References to “third-party” and “third-parties” mean anyone that’s *not you that’s paying for these service(s).

Purchases can be used for up to 1-year from purchase date before forfeiting the service(s).

The LinkedIn setup/revamp package & resume generally go for a month & a week from when we’re ready to get started for the timeline of these services to allow for time between each part of the project (i.e. most clients average a week minimum for getting back the questions I ask via email when developing the first draft of your resume) & then allowing a few days in between each process (including ensuring you have at least a couple days to look at your resume draft & allow for the "2 sets of edits" per the final resume without feeling rushed). 2 sets of edits is defined as you look at the first draft of your resume and as long as I’m not developing a brand-new resume, but just making edit(s), I will make them and provide you a revised draft. Then we would do that same process one more time. The same 2 sets of edits definition described for the resume applies to your LinkedIn bio. for your LinkedIn revamp/setup package.

The month & a week timeline discussed above doesn't calculate Saturdays, Sundays, & holidays. If you need another timeline either longer or shorter than the general timeline, please reach out to me via email: info@worksolutionstoday.com & I can see what I can do to accommodate you.

Although I try my best to provide the best possible service for my clients, there are no refunds (partial/full/etc.) of any kind whatsoever under any circumstances. That means by registering for this event & purchasing this/these service/service(s), you agree (and/or any third parties if not you are paying) will not dispute the charge with my newsletter company, financial institution (defined as a bank/credit union) and/or your financial institution and/or your credit card company for any of the services described in this agreement, including your third-party bank, and/or credit union and/or financial institution/credit company, with this charge for these services in order to try and get a refund of any kind. You also agree that you &/or your third party will not take me to small claims court and/or write any bad review(s) about working with me/my business online, including contacting the Better Business Bureau, etc. for a complaint/negative review and/or do any bad review sharing impersonating someone else and/or having someone else in place of yourself in any fashion (online and/or verbally).

In the event a new deadline needs to be created (that’s a request of yours), an additional fee will apply and will be communicated to you in advance, and an addendum to this agreement will be drafted up & signed by you. This ensures that my clients are taking their deadlines serious and not just waiting until the last minute or past the deadline to try and get work done. (Of course, I have a heart and know life happens with unplanned circumstance(s) & I can assess the “emergency situation”, etc. that may have prevented meeting the original deadline on a case-by-case basis & not charge an additional fee). I have also been known to extend deadline(s) free of charge if I see we needed more time and/or that you’re doing your part and we are working well together.

You won’t be alarmed if I don’t respond to your communications on Saturday, Sunday, & holidays, but will respond to your communications as soon as possible. Please be respectful and reasonable to me and not put me in a bad/stressful situation that could affect a positive outcome with your project by not delaying your portion of your project(s) & in general.

You understand that in order for me to complete all applicable items you purchased, you need to do your part to provide the things I need in a timely fashion and respond and engage in communication(s) for example: calls, voice mails, texts, emails, and/or LinkedIn messages from me in a timely fashion (as well as do your part in general besides just responding to my communications in a timely manner). Although there is generally a month & a week minimum deadline at 5:30 pm Pacific Standard Time on an agreed upon day for the services mentioned in this agreement (or other deadline you have arranged with me), you understand that if the necessary information that is needed to complete a part(s) of the project are not provided to me on/before the time(s)/deadline(s) I’ve requested to be able to complete them by the deadline and/or you don’t do your part and/or mistreat me, you will forfeit some/all of those services.

Although I believe developing a resume and a LinkedIn setup/revamp can definitely help further yourself in your career, you can’t hold me responsible for negative outcome(s) that may occur from these described services. As we know, there are a couple guarantees in life (death and taxes); and there are elements of risk we take every day, for example, we can get into accidents while driving a car & a chiropractor, for example can’t promise to put one back into previous injury state, the same cannot be guaranteed with a return on investment meaning I did not mislead/and/or promise a new career or job as a result of paying for these services from me. I do not guarantee a return on investment or any other promise(s) about it. This protects me from clients who may want to sue me (including small claims) and/or my business and/or complain for unfair services, etc. I do promise to provide the most accurate, honest, and in your best interest always (to the best of my ability) while working with you, but you also understand the limitations just discussed. [This is normal/comparable to when you hire someone for advertising, weight loss, and/or participate in medical studies (as examples) individual results may vary & there are no guaranteed outcomes. That’s all I’m trying to communicate here].

If a position closes before your resume is completed/finalized, I recommend you to do everything in your power to be considered for the position & at least have your resume kept on file should they hire again for the position in the future. I also recommend using that resume for future positions that are similar to it and tweaking it for each job in that career field that you could use it to apply for. You can hire me for this if you need/want help doing so.

If you enjoyed working with me &/or felt that I did a good job, you understand that you will be willing to shoot your own approx. 2-minute testimonial video after this project is completed that I can use for my website and marketing my business. (You will receive assistance with this; simple questions to answer via email to assist you in writing your testimonial video script as well as supplies (if necessary) if you have no access to a video camera on your computer, phone, or camera (in general). *Keep reading, below there is an out if you refuse to do the testimonial video (it’s 4 paragraphs down from here)*.

A testimonial video is a no more than 2-minute video answering these questions: who you are, how you met me, what service(s) did you need, what did I do, 3 things you liked about working with me and why, and answer the questions would you work with me in the future why or why not, and what do you plan on working with me in the future with, and would you recommend me to your family, friends, & colleagues why or why not. You will email me your written script for this testimonial video so I can review/edit and approve prior to you just creating the video for me. Then you will study the script no more than a couple days and shoot the video of yourself not reading the script as it’s not believable when you’re reading a script and not convincing to the audience of potential client(s) and/or referral(s).

Why a testimonial video? A testimonial video is always worth gold. A testimonial video shows my network of potential client(s) and/or referral(s) the type of clients I have worked with. It has them thinking that they may know someone (including potentially themselves) who has needed/wanted the same service(s) that I provided you. It also helps educate my clients/network on the importance of my service(s) as well as gives them that extra “nudge” for those who maybe ‘on the fence’ with hiring me (meaning not sure). A testimonial video (in general) also tells my network what a great job I’m doing which assists in marketing my business, etc. I also like to be able to build different experience levels of my clients as well as different career fields of my clients for my testimonial videos as it can demonstrate my experience to a prospective client who may ask to see my experience working with senior-level engineers, as one example.

Other benefits: The testimonial video also allows you to practice your public speaking skills without an actual audience present. It allows you to see what you look and sound like which is great feedback and practice in your career & life (in general), so please don’t immediately dismiss it. I can accept a letter of recommendation from you (besides the positive review discussed below) in lieu of the testimonial video if you are still opposed to the video. I’m limited on characters on this website to provide a sample letter of recommendation, but I can help you with that and we would need to wait until I’m actually applying for a position (applying for freelance writing positions is another way I grow my business) and in order to stand out amongst the past stiff competition since Covid, (i.e. over 200+ applications within 8 hours of a position being posted on LinkedIn), letters of recommendation help stand out to be considered for the position amongst everything else. Of course, we’d have to wait until I’m actually applying for a position and it may not be immediately after this project/(s). Of course, if you’re not opposed to the testimonial video, I’d very much appreciate the letter of recommendation, positive review, and testimonial video.

If you do the testimonial video and/or enjoyed working with me and/or felt I did a good job, you understand that you will be willing to use that same testimonial video script answering those questions above that would normally be discussed in the testimonial video (or write one I will help you with this if you refuse to do the testimonial video) for me to use for marketing my business (i.e. my social media and business websites) & allowing me to proofread it and edit it prior (I will run the final review by you) to ensure you agree with it prior to use for my property to use for advertising my business wherever I see fit (i.e. my newsletter, website, social media sites, etc). Generally, the same script for the video can be used, but may need some minor edit(s) (i.e., LinkedIn limits the characters for a written recommendation, so you would cut out “Hi, I’m [your name here]” that you may have used in your testimonial video script). Once the final written testimonial is approved by you and I, then I will request that you can post it on my LinkedIn & any other website(s) I may need you to post it on (I cannot post it myself since these sites require the review to be written from a person other than myself and it can track my IP address if I try to post it from my computer). Plus, I like to do things right, meaning wouldn’t like to do something such as posting my own reviews even if I could. It’s important that businesses have legitimate reviews. So, I will provide the links to the site(s) where you can post your written review and you will just copy and paste it there.

It’s important that you take studying the testimonial video script, positive review, & written recommendation serious and don't let too much time lag after hiring me for these service(s) because: 1. The enthusiasm, appreciation, and detailed knowledge about the service(s) you hired me for could potentially start to fade and it won’t make for as a great of a testimonial video/written recommendation/review. 2. This is crucial in assisting me in marketing my business. 3. There will be more video(s)/recommendation(s)/review(s) that I would like done after each project so it’s important to make sure they are done and not pile up and get to be too much work, etc. (If for whatever reason you already know it won’t be a good time for you upon the completion of the project(s) to complete the testimonial video and/or write the written recommendation/positive review, I will wait until you are available, trusting that you will do as soon as possible.)

If you have any questions regarding anything in this agreement, feel free to contact me for clarification by email: info@worksolutionstoday.com & a phone call can be setup if that's preferred than an email response, just request one if that’s the case.
