Registration now open for Winter 2015 Classes at CREATIVE ARTS!

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration using a credit card DOES include a credit card fee. To avoid this fee, you will need to register using this form and paying by check/cash or by using the "Register Now!" button, selecting the "pay by check" option, and mailing us a check.

Prices below are the check/cash tuition rates. When you move to the registration screen it will list the credit card prices (approx. $5-$10 more per class). If you register but choose to pay by check or cash please make sure you refer back to the check/cash tuition rates and not the credit card rate that is sent to you as a confirmation from that registration page.

MUSIC CLASSES:

Movin’ & Groovin’

Ages 6 months-3 (with caregiver)

Share the joy of exploring music with your child! Learn new and traditional songs while developing a sense of rhythm, ear training, singing, dancing, and playing. A class for caregivers and children to bond as they develop a love of music.

Dates: 9 Wednesdays, Jan 21-Mar 25 (No class Feb 18)

Suzuki Beginnings, Ages 3.5-6 (with caregiver)
Wondering if Suzuki Talent Education is right for your family? We will use rhythm games, singing, listening and first steps in violin to explore the Suzuki Triangle in a fun, nurturing environment. A great interim step between general music classes and private lessons.

Broadway Bound JR: Voice, Ages 5-8

Love to sing? Then this beginning voice class is for you. Come learn the fundamentals of voice in a fun, supportive environment.

Dates: 9 Wednesdays, Jan 21-Mar 25 (No class Feb 18)

Time: 3:45-4:30pm; $170/$160siblings; Instructor: Andrea Loretz-Frey


Ukulele Class, Ages 5 and up
Come explore this popular instrument with us. We will learn fun music, while learning left and right hand technique. No previous experience necessary. Bring a soprano ukulele with case to the first class. Ukuleles are very affordable and readily available at most music stores. Some students find models with the electronic tuner attached which make tuning at home a breeze.

Broadway Bound: Voice, Ages 7-12

Have a blast singing together while learning the basics necessary for greater musicianship! Topics covered: music notation, meter & key signatures, dynamics, vocal techniques based on “singing as an extension of speech,” ensemble, audition & performance preparation, and more.

*NEW* Bucket Drumming, Ages 7-12

Bucket percussion, or bucket drumming, is taking the nation by storm! Join our group class where students are taught in drum line style on buckets. In just 9 weeks students will be able to play through 3 songs, learning basic beats, note values, and be able to read drum sheet music. Street musicians have been performing amazing percussion sounds on buckets and similar items throughout history. Buckets are simple and easy to find items that can produce some very amazing and entertaining sounds.

String Ensemble: Level 1- Violin, Viola and Cello, Beginners - 3 years of study

Come and make music with others! If you can play a D major scale and read music, then join us! We will base the music on the ability of the group, playing in unison and in harmony. We will have an initial questionnaire so that appropriate music can be chosen.

Beginning Group Violin, 8-Adults

Join us on Saturdays for a fun approach to learning the violin! No violin experience necessary! The instructor will share tips on determining instrument size, and rental vs purchase during the first class.

Beginning String Lesson, Inter-generational
Come learn to play in a supportive environment. Bring your cello, violin or viola and learn the basics. All ages and learning styles welcome, learners under 7 must bring an adult caregiver.
