NEW Color Logo 2011

“Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.”

A letter from our Education Director, Kelly Walsh ...

"I love the arts, I believe in the arts and I am hoping you do too. If you are reading this then I bet you already knew that the arts can improve your child’s reading, writing and mathematical skills. The arts have a way of shaping the child’s view of the world, opening their mind, and creating a world of possibilities.

This summer we celebrated the magic of books with “Seussical the Musical”, we learned about Japanese culture during our “Journey to Japan” week, and we stretched our imaginations with our many weeks of Art Adventures.

So, what’s new this fall? First we are bringing back our popular core classes of Acting, Art and Music. We are adding a “Musical Exploration” class for those young ones who would like a taste of several instruments. For Art, we were inspired by “Jurassic World” and added a dinosaur themed class of our own. Theatre is adding “Improv Night” to its existing line-up. It’s a fun night for kids 10-14, filled with improv, theatre tames, and pizza.

Join us this fall for classes that will not only spark their creativity, but will develop learning skills in a wide variety of subjects that will last a lifetime.
Hope to see you soon!"
