Program Description:
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was finally signed into law despite controversy of its effectiveness surrounding income equality, disproportionate impact on certain states including California, and the adverse impact on healthcare and the national debt. Regardless of your political affiliation, you’ll need to know how these changes will affect your clients. Francis Sameon will discuss the ramifications of this legislation so you can determine the best course of action for the clients you serve.

Speaker's Bio:
Francis Sameon, CPA
Francis Sameon was most recently a tax senior at BPM LLP, a mid-sized accounting and consulting firm with offices across the Bay Area. While at BPM LLP, he focused on flow-through entities in the private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund space as well as high-net-worth individuals.
A CA-licensed CPA since October 2015, he received his undergraduate degree in Business with an Accounting concentration from Golden Gate University.
He currently volunteers as one of Tax-Aid's site co-managers and sits on the CalCPA SF scholarship committee. He was a volunteer CPA and a presenter for Financial Planning Day in San Francisco 2015 and 2017. He was formerly a chairperson for CalCPA SF's Emerging Professionals Committee.
