 THE CITY CLUB Meeting Details

Tuesday, May 8, 2018
11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Topic:
 The New Science of Engaging & Guiding Clients

Speaker(s):
 Shachar Kariv
Chief Scientist of TrueProfile.com & Capital Preferences Benjamin N. Ward Professor of Economics, University of California Berkeley

Thank You to Our Meeting Sponsor:

Program Description:
The medical profession has gone through a transformation as a result of sophisticated diagnostic tools, like X-Rays and MRIs, reaching ever-increasing levels of understanding about patients. In contrast, financial advice has arguably stalled, using antiquated questionnaires and surveys that seem to annoy instead of revealing what is true.

In this talk, Professor Kariv will detail breakthroughs in gamified scientific profiling methods, allowing us to understand clients through their decisions, not their words. Professor Kariv will then define the elements of a holistic client profile and show you how to uncover these elements using breakthroughs in applied behavioral economics and gamification. To illustrate, he will use the TrueProfile behavioral economics toolset, which attendees can learn about in advance at www.TrueProfile.com.

Shachar Kariv, Chief Scientist of TrueProfile.com & Capital Preferences Benjamin N. Ward Professor of Economics, University of California Berkeley
