The St. Petersburg Museum of History and Southern Roots Realty invite you to Happy Hour with the Historian and the story of how Florida played a major role in defining Andrew Jackson and his march to the White House.

Historian and author Robert Jacob shares how General Jackson rose to national hero status after his victory over the British at the Battle of New Orleans, eventually invades Spanish Florida and is appointed Florida's first U.S. Military Governor.

Jacobs is an award-winning author who taught and earned a Master’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University before entering the United States Marine Corps. He retired in 2013 after 31 years of service.

Presented by Southern Roots Realty, Happy Hour with the Historian is frequently sold out, so reservations are required. Admission without a reservation cannot be guaranteed. Reservations close the day of the event.
