If one of the above steps is not complete by the application deadline, your application will not be considered. No exceptions.

TPW 2019 Scholarship Recipients

Recipients of the 2019 TPW Scholarship will be notified by phone and/or email by Wednesday, May 15, 2019.


 

Scholarship Application 2019 

The Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization Scholarship Program, established in 2011, is funded through proceeds generated from our annual Women Mean Business Conference and local donations.  

This year we will be awarding several scholarships that are a minimum of $1,000 each to deserving women of Tangipahoa Parish who are pursuing higher education and advancement in the workforce. 

This scholarship is open ONLY to Tangipahoa Parish female residents.

Women attending a standard college, university, vocational or technical college in fall 2019 are invited to apply as well as women continuing their education for professional reasons.  Scholarships will be awarded to recipients at the Tangipahoa Professional Women’s Organization Luncheon on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

Instructions:

Read the following carefully. Your application must include:

  • A complete scholarship application filled out honestly and accurately and signed by student.  If applicant is under 18 years old, the minor-applicant's parent/guardian is required to sign.
  • Proof of Enrollment – Email your proof of enrollment (i.e. Copies of Your Letter of Acceptance, Proof  of Registration, Fee Bill, Letter of Enrollment or Class Schedule for Fall 2019) to tangipw@gmail.com on or before Monday, April 15. No exceptions.

Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 15, 2019.  
We will not review paper applications submitted via mail. 

The following Grading Criteria will be used by Scholarship Committee Evaluators:

30%                 Financial Need

20%                 Education and Goals

15%                 Employment / Civic Involvement

20%                 Essay

15%                 Recommendations

Note: All personal references are removed from the application prior to Scholarship Committee Evaluators’ review of the applications to ensure anonymity and fairness in the grading process.
