Sports Medicine Concepts is hosting Core4 Fundamentals On Ice! at SUNY Geneseo's Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena in Geneseo, NY. Completion of this live program will lead to 8 EBP CEU's for the Athletic Trainer and SMC's Sports Emergency Care Specialist Certification. The comprehensive competency-based program uses SMC's unique approach to instruction and simulation to ensure your emergency response is |Flawless|.
Core4® Fundamentals is an 8hr hands-on program that uses demonstration, practice, and simulation to provide a training experience that emphasizes practical application of 4 essential emergency action planning concepts, including:
  1. Provision of high quality basic life-support prior to the arrival of EMS

  2. Integration with EMS

  3. Interdisciplinary critical task choreography

  4. Safe Patient Handling and Equipment Management

All necessary materials and equipment are provided by SMC, but participants are encouraged to bring any personal emergency response equipment they would like to practice with.

*We will be on ice for long periods of time. Please dress accordingly*
