Faberge-Style Egg Decorating
Goose Egg


Learn how to prepare, cut and decorate real eggs in the style of Carl Faberge, the famous French artist who made bejeweled decorated eggs for the Czars of Russia.  This short course will provide you with the basic techniques of decorating eggs and should provide one complete decorated goose egg that can be used as a trinket or ring case complete with hinged lid.  Students will preview selected eggs from the collection of Ozark artist and instructor Royston Morris.  The goose egg and materials will be provided at cost (approximately $10).  Registrants should bring to class the $10 material fee and additional materials listed below.  Previous experience not required.

When:  July 20 & 27 (2 Saturdays) 

Where:  Continuing Education & Community Outreach,               2004 E. Nettleton Ave., Jonesboro, AR

Time:  2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Cost: $59.00 paid to ASU Continuing Education at time of registration & a $10.00 material fee paid directly to the instructor the first day of class.

Additional items needed for egg decorating class.  Please bring to class:

Tweezers, preferably with pointed ends

Toothpicks (6)

Small paintbrush, for spreading glue and Modge Podge.

Small jar for holding water to clean brushes

Small sharp scissors

2 Bottle tops or plastic jar covers for mixing glue
