The Accounting Alumni Appreciation Day is a CPE seminar in public accountancy that will provide 8 hours of CPE credit and is open to the public. Join us to hear Weston Smith, former HealthSouth CFO, give an insider's perspective of the multi-billion dollar HealthSouth fraud. Karen Whatley, with the Mitchell Williams Law Firm, will present on fraud from a federal prosecutors point of view and discuss what happens in different types of fraud cases and what to look for in fraud detection. Jimmy Corely, Executive Director for the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy, will present for an hour of ethics and will share some upcoming changes in accountancy laws and educational requirements.
