Bill Reinsch is the President of the National Foreign Trade Council and Peter Allgeier is the President of the Coalition of Service Industries.  Like the institutions they so ably lead, both have been helping to shape American trade policy for several decades.  They have done that, not only as leaders of their respective business associations, but also as holders of key government positions.  Mr. Reinsch came to the NFTC after serving as the Commerce Department's  Under Secretary for Export Administration, and Mr. Allgeier has served, among other things, as the U.S. Ambassador to the WTO. 

Both Bill Reinsch and Peter Allgeier will be retiring soon, but they are still in harness now. While they are, we thought we would ask them to share some thoughts on the changes in global trade during their careers and the choices America faces today.  Happily they agreed and will be with us on the morning of February 24.
