Data Modeling, Management, and Governance for HadoopSESSION SUMMARY:
Hadoop is reaching a broader adoption point and most enterprises are looking to use Hadoop in some capacity to augment or create new architectural paradigms to realize improved scalability, performance, and cost savings for Big Data analytics, to enable new types of applications based on streaming data, or for other types of use cases. Hadoop provides new ways to store, manage, and access data which has impacts on data modeling, management, and data governance. Maturation is taking place in Hadoop and so new technologies are coming on line to ensure security, data governance, metadata sharing, etc., are enabled in order to bring Hadoop out of the "sandbox" and into production environments. In this informative session, Pete Stiglich will discuss how Data Modeling, Data Management, and Data Governance changes with implementation of Hadoop
