Full Blue Hunter's Moon Ceremonial Dance!

FREE to attend- Register to hold your Spot

Attendance is Limited!

Join us outdoors to celebrate three auspicious occasions- Halloween, a Full Blue Moon, and Samhain. Come learn a simple indigenous dance, with Jeannie Scarzafava & others, offered with a song of love to nature, meant to bridge and amplify the connection of our hearts to her beating rhythms and pulse. We will enjoy socializing at long last afterwards!

Since time unknown, cultures have placed their feet on the ground, one step after another, pulsing toward and away from a fire, in a circle, to the rhythm of drumming and chanting.  Come learn a  simple indigenous dance offered with a song of love to nature, meant to bridge and amplify the connection of our hearts to her beating rhythms and pulse.   Prayers, with feet drumming, body listening, mind and heart bridging that connection of the earth’s balance and sky’s spirits so that we might join as midwives in birthing a world of openhearted peaceful relating.

An opportunity to remember and to revitalize our connection to the Earth, this prayerful meditative experience will deepen our love for our own existence and for ALL that sustains us.

No experience is necessary. Please wear white and layer warmly if the weather requires.  Only women will Dance inside the Circle, although others who wish to support in an outer circle are certainly welcome.  If you have a prayer wand, a rattle, a drum, or other instrument you use to connect yourself, those are welcome.  Please rsvp as soon as possible if you wish to assist in holding space with your feet inside the Circle.  Maximum is 22.  An hour of fellowship experience will follow our hour-long dance for those who wish to visit afterwards.

Important COVID Safety Instructions:

We will be outdoors at Barb Hosier's beautiful large pavillion on the property at her Oneonta home.  Thanks to Barb for her generosity!  Please read through all of the important safety regulations to attend the service, and then click on the REGISTER button above, to let us know we can look forward to seeing your smiling eyes! (and sometimes your actual smile!)

In order for us to meet in person there are very strict guidelines that we must adhere to based on the NYS Governor’s Executive Orders related to the pandemic in order to keep everyone safe and healthy. Below please find a list of items that all attendees are required to follow:

  • Please Register at the link below to let us know you are planning to attend.  If your decision to come is last minute, and you have not registered, you may still attend, we will just add you to the list when you arrive.
  • Upon arriving you will be asked three questions by a screener before you can proceed to the service. These have to do with any potential exposure or symptoms of COVID-19 that you may have. You will be asked to provide your name and phone number so that in the event of a positive test for COVID-19 by any attendee the Department of Health would be able to contact trace and we would be able to alert all attendees that they may have been exposed. The screener and attendees will be required to wear face coverings during the screening. You may not enter the service if you answer yes to any of the questions about possible exposure, in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders.
  • All attendees will be required to wear a face covering when entering and leaving the event. This does not have to be a mask and can include a handkerchief or scarf, for example. Nose and mouth must be covered. All seats will be distanced by 6 feet (except for family units who want to sit together). Please bring your own folding chair, dress in layers, hat if needed and a water or beverage bottle.  Masks do not have to be worn if a distance of 6 feet can be maintained. When it is not possible to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance you will be required to wear a face covering during those moments.
  • Be prepared to always put your face covering on if you get within 6 feet of another attendee.
  • The Governor has prohibited shaking of or holding of hands for those not in the same household at church services.
  • Please ensure that before you come you have washed your hands and/or have used hand sanitizer. The best hygiene preventative measure against COVID-19 is through handwashing with warm water and soap. Hand sanitizer, wipes and extra masks will be available at the site.
  • We will not be able to offer refreshments unless each item can be individually picked up without sharing serving spoons etc.
  • When singing you will be asked to spread out at a distance of 12 feet before we can start.
If you have a positive test result for COVID-19 after attending we ask that you please contact us immediately.
