Who can't use a good laugh?  And how about an evening of them with Tucson's premier comedy troupe? Lesley Abrams, Dean Steeves and Brendan Murphy promise an evening of topical and very, very funny comedy.

Freund and Gorbachev - Piano and Balalaika

The balalika is a classical concert string instrument in Russia and Andrei Gorbachev is the world's star virtuoso.  This outstanding duo draws from a huge repertoire that moves easily from Russian folk songs to George Gershwin.  Music critics have described their playing as "unbelievable" and we quite agree.  It is an honor to bring these artists from Moscow and Frankfurt to Tubac, their first trip to the US.

Here is a voice that, once heard, is not to be forgotten.  His gospel renditions have taken him from New York to Switzerland.  But there are no limits to what he can do with a 4-octave range, and gospel describes only part of what he will bring to us. He is a warm and charming performer.  Expect a most memorable evening.

Dorian Michael - Acoustic Guitar

TSO Percussion Ensemble

Hear the variety and richness of percussion!  Once again, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra is sending one of its premiere ensembles to Tubac.  From the delicate passages of Debussy to the stomping grooves of African dance, the Ensemble surprises and delights with a diverse and dynamic musical adventure.  Listen to them go from Vivaldi to Zappa and beyond!
