Randy Cohen,Vice President of Research and Policy for Americans for the Arts will present the results of the Arts and Economic Prosperity 5 (AEP5) report.  Data for AEP5 was collected from 341 study regions across all 50 states, and provides specific and reliable information about spending
by arts organizations and event-related spending by their audiences.
The previous study done in 2011 revealed that the non-profit arts and culture industry generated $160 million in the State of Hawai‘i. The figures for AEP5 are even more compelling - $205.6 million. Randy will report on both national and state figures, and also discuss information from the Bureau of Economic Analysis that indicates that a surprising 4% of the Gross Domestic Product is attributed to arts and culture.

Georja SkinnerChief Officer, Creative Industries Division, Department of Business Economic Development & Tourism
will give metrics and information on the impact of Creative Industries
in Hawai’i.
