Child Protection for Adults in Los Angeles, CA

Parents, educators, and other adult leaders: learn skills to keep kids safe with people including strangers, peers, and others at school, out in the world, at home, on social media... Everywhere!

In this class, we will practice ways to protect kids from harm and how to prepare them to take charge of their own safety. We will show age-appropriate ways to teach kids how to:

  • Make safety plans for public places
  • Move away from possible trouble
  • Follow Stranger Safety rules
  • Set & respect boundaries
  • Use safety skills online
  • Be & act aware & confident
  • Stay safe from hurtful words
  • Get help from adults to be safe
  • Stop unwanted touch & attention
  • Deal with peer pressure & bullying

Kidpower Los Angeles - one of our first local offices! - has new, dynamic leaders re-introducing direct service workshops to the area! We're celebrating with two special workshops open to the public: this workshop as well as an introductory Teenpower workshop, 4-6.

Hosted and sponsored by our partner My Gym Los Angeles, these one-time public workshops are offered at reduced cost in order to give Los Angeles residents a firsthand introduction to Kidpower.

Workshop Fee: $30 includes child care provided on-site by My Gym Atwater Village staff. Pre-registration is required as there is limited space.

This workshop is not appropriate for children. Participants may bring infants who are not yet crawling.

Donations over the amount of workshop fees are tax-deductible. We do not turn anyone away from our public workshops for lack of money.Scholarship information is available on our website.
