Reading, Writing and Foraging

Join us for a unique experience in the prairies and woodlands of Iowa where we will turn foraged goods into art. We will begin to be inspired by reading excerpts from American nature writers, followed by a walk to look for wild edibles to forage and for signs of wildlife. Our experience foraging and the possible tastes we might enjoy will guide us into a generative writing workshop. We will top the experience off with a snack of tasty wild edibles.

All levels of experience in both foraging and writing are welcome. Bring your own favorite writing utensil and medium. We will be outside for most of the class, so if you bring a laptop, etc., make sure it is fully charged - there will be no consistent access to electricity for charging. Also, please bring an eating utensil and plate or bowl.

Registration is $10, so grab a friend and register soon as space is limited!
