A word from RACHEL…

“Last May I gave the opening keynote talk at of the annual meeting of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). A deeply moving experience for a 75-year-old woman doctor. As I looked out over what seemed to be a sea of women’s faces, the loneliness of my medical training came back to me and for a moment I could not speak. Since then I have received letters and emails and even phone calls from people across the country who have heard about this talk and wanted an MP3 or a transcript of it. But no MP3 is available.

I am deeply moved by these people, and especially as many of them were not women or even health professionals. So I thought that this might be a good way to start a series of talks and workshops on healing ourselves and our healthcare that I plan to offer ONLINE this year and next.

The talk is called MEDICINE WOMAN WISDOM. It is both a personal and a universal talk about how many of us have given away our wholeness, often without knowing it , and that our health care cannot become whole until we ourselves become whole again.
