This event is FREE but please register to attend as space is limited. There will be FREE parking, food and door prizes.

1:00 pm The College Going Experience (Youth-led Keynote): The Waverly High School College Ambassadors will facilitate a panel with current high school and college students on the importance of college and the steps to take.
1:30 pm Awards, Give aways, and Evaluation
Workshop Options
Session A
1) Financial Aid Basics: Brief overview of the various state and federal financial aid options available to students in Michigan. (Recommended for all)
2) F.U.E.L Peace and Prosperity Action Movement: Focus on college and career positive outcomes for being mentally and emotionally prepared to go to college. Hands on activities. (Recommended for students)
3) SAT Prep- Tricks and Tips: Brief overview of the redesigned SAT, PSAT tests. Learn about free test prep.(Recommended for all)
Session B
1) Writing a kick butt personal statement: Colleges and scholarships often ask you to submit a personal statement or essays to get a feel for who you are and why they should enroll or support your education. Learn tips and get over that fear of writing. (Recommended for Juniors and Seniors)
2) Launch Your Dream: Why you should follow your dreams when you are choosing a college or technical school to help launch your transition from school to career. (Recommended for all)
3) Professional on Purpose (POP)- Your Personal Brand: Learn about appropriate professional behavior in the workplace and in your post-secondary education. (Recommended for students)
