NAIFA IL Virtual Ethics Training 

John is the third generation in his family to work in the financial services industry. He grew up wanting to carry on the family financial planning practice, and in 2017, he came to work with his father during his junior year at university.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2018, and a Master of Science in Accounting with a focus in taxation the following year. In 2020, John earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, and then in 2022, John obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. He focuses on using his tax and financial planning knowledge to help his clients make better financial decisions.

He is an active member of NAIFA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). John is also a member of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group.  

John resides in Carlinville, IL with his wife Kaitlen, and their two daughters, Madi and Luna. Also, a part of their family is their Alaskan Malamute, Keila, and their cat, Hambone. As a member of the board of the Carlinville Chamber of Commerce, and as a part-time, adjunct professor of finance at Blackburn College, John seeks to give back some of his knowledge to his local community.

John and Kaitlen love the outdoors. In their free time, they love to camp, hike, backpack, and kayak.
