The whole world has moved online, but hosting through platforms like Zoom can still feel a bit intimidating. Even with a basic knowledge of the options, we don’t want to use them for the first time in the events that we host.
The World Café Community Foundation now offers a digital sandbox: a safe space to play with the technical options of platforms like Zoom with peers, especially the options that cannot easily be tested alone.
In the first session we practiced creating breakout rooms. The topic for this coming session will be about screensharing. Upcoming sessions will be in response to YOUR requests. Let us know what you want to play with!
The Digital Sandbox is a practice space for people with some background in online hosting and/or tech hosting. If you want to learn the basics of online hosting, we invite you to take one of the Evergreen trainings delivered by The World Cafe Community Foundation or our learning partner weDialogue, that can be taken any time. (Let us know if you want help finding the right program.)
