Sunday Creek Watershed Camp Week 1: Ages 7-10

Rural Action's Sunday Creek Watershed and Environmental Education programs offer two summer day camps each year. Camp is a week of fun-filled adventure for children: exploring streams, engaging in service projects, learning about the environment through games, visiting with area professionals, and eating freshly-prepared local food!

This year our "base camp" will be the Rural Action Community Center, located at 19627 Walnut Street in Trimble.

Highlights of this year's camp for 7-10 year olds include trips to the Hocking Hills, Wildcat Hollow, and helping to clean up a small stretch of Sunday Creek. Based on the campers’ feedback, we will also include favorite activities like catching macroinvertebrates (craw-dads and the like), wilderness survival skills, hiking, swimming, and canoeing at Burr Oak.

New this year is an opportunity for previous graduates to help lead our summer camp and take part in all the fun! If your child graduated from the camp but still wants to be involved, please contact Nick at nick@ruralaction.org or 740-767-2225.

Rural Action is a membership-based non-profit in Southeastern Ohio. On the registration form, we have provided the opportunity to become a member of Rural Action for an additional $20. A membership with Rural Action helps us to continue our work with children, clean watersheds and illegal dumpsites, create access to quality local foods, and revitalize Appalachian Ohio!

We would love your membership. With the membership you will receive access to our events, volunteer opportunities, workshops, and more.
