Are you curious about the outdoors? Do you want to learn how to fish and canoe? Looking to have a fantastic day of adventure with your family? Then Passport to the Outdoors is for you! Join Rural Action on Saturday, May 15th at Lake Snowden from 1 pm – 4 pm. The event is free for all participants and registration is required.
Rural Action will host exciting interactive workshops about the great outdoors and our water resources. Participants can learn about fish and aquatic bugs up close, do a nature-themed craft, go fishing with fishing gear that we provide, go canoeing on the lake, and do some guided exploration to see what you can find!
This event is open to children of all ages and parents are encouraged to participate! In order for children to canoe on the lake (canoes provided), a parent or guardian is required to go with them.
In order to ensure safety for all participants, these guidelines will be in place:
Masks required for all participants
Only 10 participants per station at a time
No shared food will be provided, but snacks will be available
Registration is required prior to the event and is limited to 40 participants
