John-Paul Hatala, Ph.D., has worked as a Professor at a number of universities in the area of human resource and leadership development. His research interests focuses on social networking behaviors, social capital, human resource development,organizational behavior. 

 John-Paul has provided consulting services to a number of organizations throughout North America and is the founder of the social capital development firm Flowork International. Flowork works with individuals, organizations and communities to develop their social capital and more importantly increases their ability to access social resources.

Closing the Soft Skills Gap in Hamilton: Information for Employment Service Providers and Employers

Workforce Planning Hamilton's Hire Learning Survey 2015 found that effective soft skills such as work ethic, communication and self-motivation for future and present employees ranked higher with local employers than technical skills.

JP Hatala In the light of this research WPH embarked this year on a soft skills research project. 

The Closing the Soft Skills Gap in Hamilton event features Dr. John-Paul Hatala, Flowork International, who will be highlighting key findings from his recent report, Soft Skills Development: Improving Organizational Effectiveness.
