Treating patients with special needs or anxiety is often considered too difficult, but that is not the case! This two-day, experience and case-based course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to treat ALL of these patients, effective immediately!
You will understand how to work with and effectively treat patients, from the apprehensive to the combative, from infants to the elderly, who are anxious or living with a variety of physical and/or mental health disorders. Using real cases, we will illustrate criteria for case selection, protocols for pre- and postoperative care, and practical clinical tips for greater intraoperative efficiency in your office, the OR, and off-site anywhere. You will learn little-known techniques for safely opening and keeping open the mouths of uncooperative patients. You will have opportunities to explore, experience and try the tools and equipment we use in our own office.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to implement or augment anxious patients and special needs dentistry in your own practice.
