OCAEYC presents: The Play Experience Workshop

This virtual play workshop is an opportunity to engage in self-active, solo play. During this session, participants will have the opportunity to engage in open-ended play, and to experience the power of play in promoting mindfulness, and resilience.  After engaging in play, participants will reflect on their experience, and have an opportunity to dialogue and consider the application of play in various settings.

Workshop Objectives:

1- To experience the joy, peace, healing, and mindfulness found in open-ended play.

2- To reflect on our play experience and the feelings it evoked.

3- To consider how this experience can inform the play experiences we offer to children.

*For the workshop, please have loose parts/open-ended materials ready to use during the workshop.  (ExamplesPebbles, sticks, seeds, leaves, pinecones, Yarn, string, pens, pencil, Q-tips, utensils, paperclips, bottle caps)
