Todd Gates, Founder and Chairman of Gates Constructions. Mr. Gates provides executive management oversight and support for all GATES projects. He is involved in Owner contract negotiations and participates in applicable Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings. In 1993, Mr. Gates founded GATES. Today, the firm is a fully integrated construction management, general contracting and design-build firm with offices in Florida, North Carolina and the Republic of Panama. Scott’s pre-entrepreneurial background includes service as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, and senior leadership roles at The Gallo Winery, Kellogg’s, and Sprint. At Sprint PCS, he led the marketing and product development teams that reached $10 billion in annual revenue in six years, faster than any US company before or since. Scott has an MSBA from Boston University, and a BA from Rice University where he ‘wrote code’ on IBM punched cards in Computer Science 101.

Theo Etzel CEO of Conditioned Air. Theo Etzel, President of Conditioned Air was born and raised in Miami, FL; He graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from the university’s School of Business and also ran the school’s radio station. Upon graduation, he worked for Days Inns of America in real estate acquisition for the state of Florida. He quickly advanced in the company and moved to Atlanta to serve as vice president of real estate development. In 1995, he moved to Naples, Fla., and assumed the position of president and CEO of Conditioned Air Corporation of Naples Inc. At the time it was a $2.7 million operation in the residential market. Currently the company is a $40 million company in the residential and light commercial market with emergency service, contracts, production housing, retro-fit and custom design-build construction. The company employs 300+ full-time co-workers and has branch offices in Ft. Myers and Sarasota. In 2010 Conditioned Air received the National Contractor of the Year award from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. In 2011 Conditioned Air was awarded the Uncommon Friends Foundation Business Ethics Award for their commitment to Integrity in their business practices. He and his wife, Kim, have been married since 1980 and have two children, a son, Chad, who is married (both he and his wife are Georgia Tech grads) and living in California and a daughter, Kristen, (a Florida State grad) married, and living in St. Simons Island, GA.
