PRACTITIONERS
$275 with registration before July 24th
$300 with registration after July 24th
$325 at the door

STUDENTS
$225 per session

If paying by check, all checks must be received by our office prior to the program taking place otherwise the at the door rate will apply.

CE hours approved in IL, MI, IN, & IA. Approved in WI for only 6.5 hours on Saturday. Please inquire about additional states / provinces.

Program Description
The management of special populations involved in sports and training will be covered with an emphasis placed on systemic conditions affecting performance, the female athlete, pediatric, geriatric and defferentially abled athletes. A final comprehensive written exam will be given.

Format
The program content will be presented in both lecture and laboratory format. 

Outline
Hour 1-2: The Athletic Woman: gynecologic concerns, definitions, amenorrhea, pre-menstrual syndrome, pregnancy, disordered eating, female triad, and musculoskeletal disorders. 

Hour 3-4: The Pediatric Athlete: pediatric concerns, epidemiology of injuries, upper and lower extremity injuries, osteochondritis, Salter Harris classification, strength training, asthma, allergies, training and growth. 

Hour 5: Mature Athlete: hypertension, classification, exercise as treatment, step care, guidelines for treatment of active diabetics, exercise guidelines, and contraindications. 

Hour 6: Environmental concerns: snow blindness, turf issues, altitude, atmospheric conditions, heat and  humidity, cold and frost bite. 

Hour 7-12.5: 300 question comprehensive final exam.
